The blue and red generals where none other than DBD's own Coyote(red) and Lil' John(blue). There was a third party involvement (green team) which was comprised of Seek and Destroy led by Pimp (green general).

The weather was not the best for a paintball game. Hot and sticky for the most part of the day until the thunder and lightning came late afternoon.

First an explanation of how the game was set up. Standard Blue vs Red team but w/ the green team playing a role as mercenaries. Green team was able to side with whomever they saw fit with constant reinsertion. Needless to say, whomever the green team was siding with had the control. It seemed the green team sided with the Red team until about 1pm and then sided with the Blue team until 4pm.

Both generals fought valiantly. They both led their teams with honor, courage, and commitment. The final outcome was, in my opinion, the best possible outcome. The winner was … drum roll … nobody. It was a tie, 510-510. In fact, it made Mongo's prediction that the DBD general will win, wrong. Too funny! The reason why this outcome seemed the best is because there were a lot of complaints on how the Green team's interaction with other teams didn't seem fair. If one side would have won, the players from the other side would have complained. Unfortunately, the green team's role was not completely structured. They had the ability to insert at anytime and at any given time could help you or shoot you, which brought on much confusion. The final battle was cancelled due thunder and lightning. For the most part I believe that the majority of people had a great time. I know I certainly did.

Memorable moments from this event:

2nd place; Most memorable moment is when Yote said he was going over to do a one on one with Lil' John. We start walking towards the insertion and it was a hot insertion for our team. There were a bunch of blue members that were crossfiring the inserting players (too stupid to realize they didn't have to take their barrel condoms as soon as they walked in). I see Yote turn and head straight for the blue players. I immediately know what he's going to do. He goes through one entrance of the concrete structure and I go through the other. We then proceed to Barrel Tag every last blue player in there before they even knew what hit 'em. And then Keebler (from Santa's Rejects) and I take out the other two on the other side of the entrance of the insertion.

1st place; Most memorable moment from a Tale of Two Generals:

Yote had given me a mission to go Recon the POW camp. I didn't realize that was the enemy's CP though. As I headed out, I found a green team player in the woods, He said, What color are you? I told him red and he told me not to shoot because we had an alliance. I told him I knew that and that there was something I'd like him to do. I told him that I needed to recon the POW camp but we are going to go by some blue players. I had quickly made a plan to go straight towards the blue players in Maze city. I told him that when we get within range, I wanted him to scream out that he was escorting me to HIS green general. So we walk into Maze city with all blue markers on us. The person in charge called in that he had "captured" one green & one red player and he wanted to know what to do with us.  I hear Lil' John's voice over the radio say "Barrel Tag them!" I see the blue player start to raise his marker to me and put my hand straight up to him and shouted, "Stop… listen here. I am being escort to the green general on HIS request. If you kill me, you will only piss him off and have the green team all over you. Do you REALLY want that?"  So the player gets back on the com and said, "He said if we kill him, the green team will be pissed off at us, do we really want that?" I hear Lil' John get frustrated and say he'll be right there. As Lil John turns the corner into maze city, he looks at me and said, " OH… It's YOU!". I laughed at him and said Yup. He asked what we were doing and I said I was sent as a liaison to the green team on request of the Green General himself. Lil John asked for what and I said I couldn't tell him. He asked the green player and the green guy said it was about forming an alliance. Lil John said that he would only allow me to leave if he escorted us personally so that he may speak with the Green general also. We agreed and we followed him with his armed guards. As we get close to the POW camp, I tell them that I have to report to my team that I am being escorted by the blue team. So I start to walk off away from them so that I can get some distance so that they don't hear me talking. That's when I realize that I am looking straight at their CP. That's also when Lil' John realized that I was a demo and he yells out for everyone to back up because I might have an explosive. I then yelled out, "Yeah, everyone get away… I might have a bomb." They all backed up I called Yote. "Hudson Hawk to Yote / Yote here / Reporting that I am being escorted to POW by blue team / Roger that". I then tell Lil' John I need a ref so that I can tell him also. He said why don't we keep walking up the hill and then we'll get a ref.. Too close to his CP for comfort, I assume. Once I get the ref over and get the card signed, I quickly started walking ahead and got shot by a different player. I walk out and come back in and tell Yote, "When Hudson Hawk completes a mission, he completes it with finesse. Not only did I get the Recon mission complete, I got an escort by the enemy general himself." Too cool!

The negative feedback of the day. Consistenly had problems with paint melting together in the hopper and then it dawned on me to check the case at camp and I found I had lost a third of a case due to the heat.
